LIVE CarbonTV Fish Cam
Get hooked! Watch chinook salmon, largemouth bass, northern muskellunge, northern pike, steelhead trout, walleye, a variety of sunfish, and two six-foot lake sturgeon splash and fend for food on the LIVE CarbonTV FishCam. See the 24/7 stream on demand, at home or on-the-go, to catch an up close look at fish swimming and gliding around the Show Pond. The pond is located on the property of the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery, in Mattawan, Michigan. The hatchery, and its show pond, are part of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Established in 1927 and updated in 1983, the hatchery produces species for inland waters and the Great Lakes. In 1927, the Izaak Walton League donated 78 acres of property to the state of Michigan. In 1935, 59 additional acres were acquired by the Department of Conservation to provide more space for ponds. Hiking trails surround the facility. A floating fishing pier and upgrades to visitor viewing areas on and around the Show Pond are new for 2016. Viewers should be advised that as awesome as nature is, it is also harsh at times. It is entirely possible that they may see unpleasant events and natural circumstances (predation, disease, etc.) in this pond. In the event of such events, no human intervention by the Department of Natural Resources or any other agency will occur. View at your own discretion.
