Happy Memorial Day folks! And before we get into today's Missouri Ozarks farm vlog episode we'll take a minute to remember all of the fallen soldiers that have fought four our freedoms that we are enjoying on this very day and we wish the best for the families of the recent soldiers who are left behind to carry on their legacies! God Bless the USA! With that being said let's get some fresh air here on Memorial Day as we will share our adventures with you since we are not traveling or visiting on this Memorial Day weekend. So since we are not traveling, nor do we have company we try to be as productive as possible with trying to catch up on the years of neglect on our new to us Southern Missouri Ozarks property. Today Sharon found a very large stone (probably 3,000lbs plus) that is part of a watershed retaining wall on the largest ditch crossing on our farm that has been falling down and crushing one of the 4 culvert pipes. For whatever reason they used 2 plastic culvert pipes and 2 steel pipes. Anyway these stones are hazard markers for vehicles using our driveway and also to keep very high waters from coming up and eroding the gravel driveway. So first today we will take out my bobcat e42 r2 series mini excavator and see if we can get this major creek water crossing fixed up some. And then after that we will take a hike and Sharon will show me what will be a very cool location for a new road cut up a mountain side with some very strategic usefulness for our farm. I had just improved an old logging trail in that area but I hit a big rock ledge and could not break through it with the John Deere 655C bulldozer. So after we get it marked out I will go back to this area to cut this new road that will not only be very useful to us to navigate the farm with better access but it will also be very scenic, as you will see, as it will parallel a beautiful, natural rock legde to boot!

Was this Divine Intervention? While many may not believe, I do keep the faith when it comes to living this life and putting certain priorities above others. Join me for today's episode #1 of our new life, land and Ozarks Missouri adventures! Recently we bought a 575 acre Southern Missouri farm in the Ozarks and today will be our first moving trip, our first road trip after legally owning the new 575 acre Missouri farm, and all of the adventures that go along with it. Join us for today's episode as I begin our moving process from Southern Illinois over to Southern Missouri. Today I'll tackle some of the challenges associated with equipment hauling over such a long distance. In this episode I'll be hauling my KIOTI RX7320 powershuttle cab tractor, my home made chisel disc plow and some other equipment on my equipment trailer. Oh, and I almost had a near disasterous collision in the St. Louis area as a car literally broke down only a few cars ahead of me, so while cruising at 65 mph there was a completely stopped car right in front of me and I had nowhere to go in either lane, left or right of me, so I locked up all of the brakes on my Ford F250 and the equipment trailer, and fortunately I don't tailgate so I had enough room to get my truck and equipment trailer stopped just in the nick of time! Also today I'll give you an up close and realtime view of the dead end gravel road that our new 575 acre Missouri farm sits on, and then a look at our OVER a mile long private gravel driveway as well. This is a very exciting episode and we thank you for joining us!
