What is Old Green Plane all about?
Old Green Plane is an interview and travel show with our two hosts, Collin Caneva and Craig Spilker, that takes place in a 1960 Cessna 182D Skylane airplane. In 2015, Collin Caneva came into ownership of his Father’s plane, which before that day, he had no clue where the plane was or who the plane was owned by. This was a plane that, as a child, Collin flew in with his Father on his many travels.
After taking ownership and re-certifying himself as a pilot, Collin and Craig began using the plane for business trips but it would also turn into trips where they’d find cool and unique places and people along the way.
It wasn’t long before both Craig and Collin felt a need for a show where they get to meet and talk with interesting people doing interesting things, visit interesting places and show off their local and unique cuisine.
That’s why we created Old Green Plane, to tell the story of both the people they meet and the places they go.
Old Green Plane is also about a desire to push beyond the “uncomfortable” and find those unique stories of the people and places they visit and then try to find those unifying and commonalities between us all but in a four seater, 1960-vintage airplane.
