The shallow angle quartering shot in sporting clays is seen as a very fast target in the beginning but the farther out it goes is slows down dramatically due to the angle of the trajectory. We describe the quartering shot as a diminishing speed-lead bird and for this reason the gun should start much closer to the break point and should move very little.
