Now that I own some property, and been able to hunt the same animals in my area for several seasons, I've started to change my game. I've previously identified this area as a really key spot come November when the mature bucks are on their feet. This is a stand that I can kill a mature buck from, but I can't get that opportunity if I get busted first. The first morning I hunt this will likely be later in October or sometime in November. By then, the smell of all the blood and sweat will have long been forgotten.
